Adopt a Dog
Did
you know that 2 in 10 dogs stay in their original home in the United States?
Or another way to look at it is 8 in 10 dogs are re-homed or euthanized!
Sounds unbelievable doesn’t it? But not everyone knows what they are
getting into when they bring home their new four-legged friend.
It
is very important that all of our canine companions have the best home
possible. The rescues we support are great places to find that unique dog
that suits your personality best. The privately owned dogs, listed below, are
in situations that are not ideal for either the people or the dog, and they
are in need of a new heart to share their lives with.
We
cannot guarantee the health or behavior of any of these animals, but do
recommend that you begin with a vet check and great training program right
away to get started on a great path to a new life for you both.
Please take a
minute to read….
An intact dog can produce two litters a year of 6-10 puppies per litter,
which means in six years, one female dog and her offspring could produce
67,000 dogs. An average of 40,000 cats/dogs are euthanized in Colorado each year.
Please click on www.savecoloradopets.org and find
out more about this state sponsored initiative to subsidize spay & neuter
programs. Thank you.
Rescues – please note not all rescues are created equal and the rescues
listed below are resources only. We
cannot guarantee your experience or the dog you choose. Please use your own judgment and as always
do your homework before bringing any animal into your home. Thank you so much for adopting an animal in
need.

“I applaud
your family for your caring and well-being of animals! I loved your outlook,
pet adoption links and stats of unwanted pets on your website :). I will be
keeping your information with me. I am asked questions about the training of
my dogs all the time. I will now have someone to refer them to for training.
You make a HUGE difference in the hearts of both owners and pets. Awareness
is key, Great Job!
P.S. Thank you for being one of many that
speaks for the animals!”
